ARH 205 History of Western Art II (4) June 22–July 17. Historical survey of the visual arts, a.d. 50–595. Selected works of painting, sculpture, architecture, and other arts are studied in relation to the culture producing them. Harper.
ARH 349 History of Prints (4) June 22–July 17. Examines prints and print-making in the Western world from the 15th century to the present. Students study and examine original works of art. Patterson.
ARH 392 Art of the Pacific Islands II (4) June 22–July 17. Focuses on the sacred and secular arts of the Polynesian islands. Pacific art will be placed into the context of a cultural worldview. Eisler.
ARH 399 From Michelangelo to YouTube (4) June 22–JuIy 17. The interrelation of art and politics over the centuries, from 1500 to the present. Concludes with an analysis of the Obama campaign’s use of visual art. Harper.
