ES 101 Introduction to Ethnic Studies (4) June 23–July 18. Multidisciplinary study focuses on Americans of African, Asian, Chicano, Latino, and Native American descent. Garay.

ES 399 Contemporary Native Women and the Media (4) July 21–August 15. Examines depictions of Native American women in the media and their adaptive capabilities and strengths as depicted by contemporary authors and artists who draw on their own Native heritage for inspiration. Prereq: ES 101 or 102. Long.

ES 399 Native Americans and Film (4) July 21–August 15. Examines representations of Native Americans in the cinema, on television, and in popular culture as they evolve over time. Prereq: ES 101 or 102. Klopotek.
