Schedule and Registration

When is the summer schedule available?

The summer schedule will be available online on Friday, March 10.

When can I register for Summer Session?

Initial registration begins the week of May 8-12, 2017. Specific dates and times are based on your class standing and the last three digits of your UO ID number.

The deadline to add a summer course varies by the length of the course. To determine the add deadline for a summer course, please look at the class schedule for the specific class you want to add.

I filled out my Registration Eligibility form, when should I receive my PAC letter?

The Office of the Registrar processes the forms the third week of April and will mail out University of Oregon ID numbers and PAC codes via postal mail. If you have not received your letter by the beginning of May, you may call the office at 541-346-2935.

If you filled out the form after April your letter will be mailed to you within 5-10 business days.

Is wait listing available during the summer?

No, wait listing is not available during summer session.

What is the credit limit during the summer?

Undergraduate students in good standing may register for 21 credits without advisor approval and graduate students may register for up to 16 credits. For the full policy please visit the Office of the Registrar website.

Tuition and Fees

Where can I find my tuition and fees for summer?

The tuition and fees calculator is available on the Office of the Registrar’s website. The summer tuition rates are posted during the spring.

Can I get financial aid for the Summer term?

Financial aid is available for admitted University of Oregon students enrolled in a degree or eligible certificate program. There is a separate application for summer financial aid that is available on the Financial Aid Summer page.

Aid is not available for non-admitted students.

When is my summer tuition due?

The first bill of summer session is prepared on the 15th of June and will be due on July 1st.

How do I pay my bill?

Log in to DuckWeb and from the Student Menu, you can access the QuikPAY® website to make payments online. Payments are due on the first of the month and are considered past due if not received by the tenth of the month. Please contact Student Billing with any payment questions.

What is the drop and refund schedule for summer term?

The drop and refund schedule is determined by the dates of your class. For an overview schedule please visit the calendar page. For a more detailed view please look at the class schedule for the specific class you want to drop.

General Summer

What housing options are available during summer?

The residence halls are open for students registered for credit classes during summer term. A separate application is available on the Housing summer site. Off-campus housing is available, but not through the University of Oregon.

Where can I purchase a parking permit?

If you purchased a 12-month parking pass, your parking pass is good in campus lots until September 30.

To buy a summer-only parking pass please visit the Department of Parking and Transportation Office at 1401 Walnut St. or visit their website.

How will the units I earn at the UO transfer to my home institution?

The University of Oregon is on a quarter system and all credits earned will appear on a University of Oregon transcript. Please contact your home institution to see how the credits will transfer.

How do I request a transcript?

Transcript requests should be directed to the Office of the Registrar. Requests can be made online via DuckWeb, by fax, or by mail.
